TAEM Africa

The Association of Elderly Muslim (TAEM)-Africa is a Continental Non–Governmental Organization, founded in June 2013 and, duly recognized in Uganda in July 2017. The organization envisions equitable opportunities and access to quality livelihood options for old-age population in Africa.

During the Breaking Barriers to Elderly Care Dinner held at hotel Africana on 26th March 2019, Stabex International pledged to contribute to the construction of a family house for TAEM-Africa towards the “Breaking Barriers to Elderly Care” Program. Sheikh Sulaiman Walusimbi and his family in Lwamirindo Village- Kiboga District, were the first beneficiaries from the program.

Through the partnership, Stabex International funded the construction of a permanent two (2) bedroom house, with a common room and store, fitted with rain water harvesting system and pit latrine. The project was commissioned by the Deputy Mufti of Uganda on 17th December 2019. The hope, joy and comfort in the family are all because of the leadership team at Stabex International.
